Junior School Choirs

OUR THURSDAY CHOIR WILL TAKE PART IN A CHARITY CONCERT FOR THE MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION ON SATURDAY 8TH DECEMBER IN ST. PHILIP AND ST. JAMES’ CHURCH ON CROSS AVENUE AT 7.00P.M.  WE WILL BE PERFORMING WITH CHOIRS FROM CBC MONKSTOWN AND ST. PATRICK’S NATIONAL SCHOOL, GREYSTONES.

We have two choirs in the Junior School.  One is for students from P4-P6 and meets on a Thursday morning from 8.00a.m.-8.40a.m.  The choir provides an opportunity to challenge children with more advanced techniques of choral singing and also provides an opportunity to be involved in performances, both socially and competitively throughout the year.  Entrance is by audition.

Our second choir meets on a Wednesday at 12.30p.m.  This is for children from P3-P6 and is for any child who loves singing and wants to learn some basic singing techniques with the opportunity to perform a few times during the year.  There is no audition required for this choir.

Both choirs are led by Ms. Armitage our Junior School Director of Music and accompanied by Mr. Kevin Walsh, one of our piano teachers.
